My child has spots
If your child is sick and gets spots, it may be a childhood disease. For example, chickenpox, fifth disease, sixth disease and scarlet fever. Spots also occur with an allergy or eczema. Childhood diseases are also often caused by a virus, sometimes by a bacterium. Usually a childhood disease goes away on its own.
