Call 085 5360300 (press 9 for English) and keep the following details within reach:

  • Name, address and date of birth;
  • Name of your own doctor;
  • Names of medicines (if relevant);
  • Passport or identity card,
  • EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) or insurance details;

You can only call the GP Medical Post for emergency GP care. You should not call if your situation can wait until your GP’s next available hours. The GP Medical Post does not issue repeat prescriptions. The GP Medical Post does not provide second opinions on what another GP has said.

Your call will be taken by a triage nurse (or a doctor’s assistant). Triage nurses have extensive medical knowledge and are specially trained to assess whether a person requires urgent medical attention.

  • The triage nurse will ask you to provide the following information:
  • your name, address, telephone number, and date of birth
  • the name of your own GP
  • your medical history (if relevant to your visit to the GP Medical Post)
  • the medication you are currently using

In emergency situations, we will only ask for the most crucial information, such as your address and telephone number.

Responses to your call

Your call may be handled in various ways. 

The triage nurse may:

  • give you self-care advice.
  • book you in for a consultation with the on-duty GP at the GP Medical Post.
  • arrange for the on-call GP to visit you at your home.
  • arrange for an ambulance or a visit by the on-call GP as a matter of urgency.

We want to assist as many patients as possible and be prepared for emergency situations. That’s why we plan and make appointments. Please do not come to the GP Medical Post if you have not made an appointment.

After paying your invoice, you can claim the expenses back from your insurance company (depending on your insurance)

These rates apply on workings days from 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM and all day at weekends and public holidays.

The rates are determined by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit).

The telephone consultation, the consultation at the GP Medical Post, and the home visit are all charged for. If a patient doesn’t appear at the appointment at the GP Medical Post, a phone consultation will be charged.

Payment options

If you have an health insurance

When you have an EHIC-card of an AON student insurance card, we can send the invoice directly to your health insurance provider.
Please ensure that you have the correct address and telephone details when contacting the GP Medical Post, so that we can send the invoice directly to your health insurance provider.

If you don’t have health insurance

If we don’t have your insurance details, you’ll need to pay for the consultation or treatment with a debit card at the GP Medical Post. The costs for a telephone consultation or a home visit by the on-call GP, are charged by invoice that we send to the home address known to us.

When you have received an invoice and you have an EHIC-card or an AON student insurance card, you can send a copy of the card to declaraties@primacura.nl.
